After the success of the 5G Virtual Forum, and after the announced cancellation of the IBC in Amsterdam in September, Medina Media Events has confirmed today the celebration, on 17th, 18th and 19th November, of the sixth edition of the 4K-HDR Summit, that this year will be virtual.
“When the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona was cancelled we didn’t hesitate for a minute to announce the celebration of the 5G Virtual Forum. And it was a success. And now, after the cancellations of the NAB Show in Las Vegas in April and the IBC in Amsterdam in September, we have not doubted for a minute that the sixth edition of the 4K-HDR Summit will be organized in November virtually”, has announced Ricardo Medina, CEO of Medina Media Events, organizer of the main exclusive event about Ultra High Definition (UHD) worldwide.
“The Virtual 4K-HDR Summit will be a unique opportunity for Spanish, European and worldwide audiovisual industry to share, in a safe and risk-free way, the advances that are taking place in Ultra High Definition, at international level. We have to adapt to new times and new ways to share knowledge, to talk about our advances and projects, to give visibility to our experiences and success cases”, points out Medina, with more than 45 years of experience in the field of Communication, and 35 of them in Television.
In the last edition of the 4K-HDR Summit, up to 16 countries were represented through companies, professionals and attendees, including the United States, Great Britain, Germany, France, India, Turkey, Colombia and Canada.
Last year, at the National Digital Content Pole in Malaga, 28 sponsors, 300 attendees and 100 top companies shared for three days before the elite of the UHD ecosystem their presentations, proposals, devices, products and 4K and 8K content, such as 8K images of the NASA International Space Station and the incredible Samsung QLED 8K televisions.
The situation created at the beginning of this year by the Covid-19 coronavirus pandemic led Medina Media Events to rethink its “boutique” events model to make them virtually. In this way, with the announcement that the sixth edition of the 4K-HDR Summit will be in virtual format, it continues the line of success of the virtual version of the 5G Forum few weeks ago.
The 5G Virtual Forum 2020, which took place on May 6 and 7, brought together 526 participants, most of them CEOs, CIOs, CTOs, and directors of Innovation, Business, Product, Strategy, Marketing and consultants, from a total of 220 companies, who had the opportunity to follow the sessions, organize video meetings and check out the exclusive 5G demos.
Moreover, Medina Media Events got 3.640 users from 38 countries to connect with 5G Virtual Forum, which was supported by Vodafone Business, Samsung, Cisco, Huawei, Rohde & Schwarz, Intracom Telecom, 5Genesis, Hispasat, Nokia, Axión, Impulsa Visión RTVE and the 5G National Observatory, an initiative promoted by Mobile World Capital, the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Digital Transformation and Red.es.
